Bishopbriggs BMXer leads the way in national jam.

Bishopbriggs BMXer, Christopher Eastwood (aka Katman, 16) formerly of Bishopbriggs Academy, was a winner at the first national BMX competition in Edinburgh’s Transgression Indoor Skate Park, “Snow Ballin’ BMX Jam” at the end of 2011. Danny MacAskill impresses all at Baldernock Spring Cycle Festival

ED’s Cycle Co-op were delighted to have Danny MacAskill headline with The Clan at the Baldernock Spring Cycle Festival on Saturday 26th March 2011. We also had our own Baldernock supergran in Ros Jarvis, cycling LeJog. The crowd came from all around Glasgow and Stirling and there was even a Park ‘n’ Ride led from Baldernock Primary and Turnbull High Schools. More images here. Since it began in May 2009 East Dunbartonshire’s Cycle Co-operative has encouraged people across Bishopbriggs to take up cycling and it now hopes to expand its work, which includes providing cycle training, maintenance and guided rides, in 2011.
